Vidya Wires was incorporated on December 11, 1981. The company is a leading manufacturer of winding and conductivity products for critical industries, offering a diverse portfolio including precision-engineered wires, enameled copper strips, insulated conductors, copper busbars, PV ribbons, and aluminum paper-covered strips Vidya Wires Limited was originally incorporated as `Vidya Wires Private Limited' as a Private Company dated December 11, 1981, issued by the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat. Thereafter, the status of the Company was converted into a Public Limited Company and was changed to Vidya Wires Limited', vide fresh Certificate of incorporation dated September 16, 2024. The Company is one of the largest manufacturers of winding and conductivity products for a range of critical industries and applications. The product portfolio includes precision-engineered Enameled Wires, Enameled Copper Rectangular Strips, Paper Insulated Copper Conductors, Copper Busbar and Bare Copper Conductors, Specialised Winding Wires, PV Ribbon And Aluminum Paper Covered Strips, among others. These products are used in varied critical applications such as energy generation & transmission, electrical systems, electric motors, clean energy systems, electric mobility, railways. Since the incorporation in year 1981, Company has expanded the business, scale of operations and delivered variety of products, creating a position in winding and conductivity products. From time to time, it made investment, in manufacturing facilities to expand the installed capacity up to a current level of 19,680 MT per annum. The Company started production in Unit I since year 1982. Later, it started Unit 2 production at Anand and further Unit 3 started in 2012 at same place. The Company made a milestone by forming a wholly owned subsidiary named ' ALCU Industries Private Limited' in 2022. The operations being located in Anand, Gujarat, which has logistics convenience through various major sea ports of the state like Hazira and Mundra which Company use for exporting the products as well as importing raw materials. The Company came up with the IPO aggregating an issue of 57,693,307 equity shares of face value of Re 1 each, by raising Rs 300 crores, comprising a fresh issue of 52,692,307 equity shares aggregating to Rs 274 crores and the offer for sale of 5,001,000 equity shares aggregating to Rs 26 crores on December 5, 2025.
